Live Insects

We LOVE Bugs!  We have a variety of insects  for a range of things from Terrarium cleanup crews, to Feeder insects, to Pets :)

Insects!

ROAches

Dubia Roaches (Blaptica dubia)

Contact us for availability!

Dubia roaches make a great addition to any terrarium - They are dual-purpose as a cleanup crew in your reptile terrarium, and as a high-protein, low *stink* feeder insect.  These cannot climb terrarium walls, so they also make excellent pets!

Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches ( Gromphadorhina portentosa)

Contact us for availablility!

One of the largest species of cockroaches, these guys make excellent beginner insect pets! They are docile, easy to handle, and their care requirements are moderately easy. These roaches are not pests, but live in rotting logs on the forest floors of Madagascar.

Halloween Hissing Cockroaches (Elliptorhina javanica)

Orange Head Cockroaches ( Ublaberus posticus )

ISOPODS

"Spanish Orange" Isopods ( Porcellio scaber)

Contact us for Availability!

These fast-moving Orange Isopods make a great cleanup crew for your humid terrariums.  They double as feeder insects, and reproduce quickly once established.  We recommend supplementing their *cleanup* feeding with an occasional slice of carrot or potato.

"Zebra/White Stripes" Isopod (Armadillidium maculatum)

"Spot" Isopods (Armadillidium maculatum)

"Dwarf White" Isopod (Trichorina tormentosa)

Contact us for Availability!

These isopods are one of the most popular species for bioactive enclosures due to their ability to establish and reproduce quickly.  They are a burrowing species, so they are able to hide from predators and reproduce quickly. Excellent cleanup crew candidates!

Giant Canyon Isopod (Porcellio dilatatus)

Contact us for Availability!

Giant Canyon Isopods, Native to Europe, can grow to be as large as 3/4"!  They are a burrowing species, so are able to establish and reproduce  quickly in your bioactive enclosures.  They not only make a great cleanup crew, but also a nice supplemental food source for your Reptile and Amphibian friends!

"Dairy Cow" Isopods (Porcellio laevis)

Contact us for Availability!

These guys are my favorite!  They are a Medium-Large sized Isopod that are generally pretty active and visible in a bioactive setup.  Some Dart frogs are unable to eat the larger adults , so the Isopods can serve as a cleanup crew that reproduces enough to be a supplemental food source for your frogs.  White with little black speckles, they look like little "Dairy Cows". FUN!
